What is the Culture Collapse Project?
The Culture Collapse project was initiated by Richard A. Simes, Sr. and coordinated
through his efforts, along with Pastor Tom MacAvoy and the Steam Valley Bible Church,
Trout Run, PA; Faithful Life Publishers, North Fort Myers, FL; and Biblical Family
Ministries Inc., Myerstown, PA. Mr. Simes’ burden is to put a copy of the booklet,
The Christian Response to Culture Collapse in the U.S.A., into the hands of every
U.S. Senator and U.S. Congressman. It is hoped that these leaders will recognize
the seriousness of our cultural collapse and take steps to reclaim and uphold our
historic moral and ethical values. Upon reaching the 535 members of the United States
Congress, it is hoped the project may be extended to reach members of State Legislatures
as well as other leaders in government, business and education
Why has the Culture Collapse Project been established?
Over the last number of years many have developed a great concern for what is happening to our culture in the United States. The changes have been rapid and dramatic, but there is no reason to believe they have been inevitable. Change occurs because of various forces and influences that impact a society and its values.
The project leaders believe that our culture has reflected superior values in its respect for life, liberty, family and the worship of God. Those underlying values have historically produced a measure of integrity, compassion, personal responsibility and respect for others among our citizens. Unfortunately, things have changed in virtually every area of our national life including business, education, entertainment, government and family.
Some declare these changes to be progressive, but many long for a resurgence of the American value system, once treasured here at home and still envied around the world.
It is hoped that each and everyone who reads the booklet, The Christian Response to Culture Collapse in the USA, whether a Christian or not, will sense the necessity to make an earnest effort to reclaim the Judeo Christian ethic as foundational to the hope of reclaiming the America we once knew.
